Ballet Master and Choreographer

Mr. Kasym is a respected ballet master and choreographer with over three decades of experience in classical ballet instruction, choreography, and performance. He began his ballet training at age ten at the Frunze Ballet School, where he studied the Vaganova Method, a foundation that shaped his approach as both a dancer and educator. He later earned his degree from the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow, studying under renowned pedagogue Lilia Talankina.

Mr. Kasym’s professional career includes significant contributions as a company member and teacher at the State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Kyrgyzstan, where he later returned as a master teacher. He has also held teaching and choreographic positions internationally, including with the Lemon Dance Company in South Korea and Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, where he taught from 2010 to 2023.

An accomplished coach and mentor, Mr. Kasym has successfully prepared students for international ballet competitions, with his students earning top honors at TANZOLYMP (Germany), Spoleto (Italy), ORLEU (Kazakhstan), and the International Junior Dance Festival (Bulgaria). He is particularly known for his ability to train male dancers and for his thoughtful, technique-driven approach to classical ballet.
